Jacques Derrida’s La vie la mort has not yet been translated into English, but when it is the title would have to be Life Death, with these two substantives on a par, both equally capitalized by virtue of the typographic rule for titles in English, and of course without definite article, precisely because of the insistence in this literally seminal work on the glorious indefiniteness of whatever these two words denote.
